Run with the pack: To fit in with a group; to go along with everyone else. Ejem: Veronica is an easy-going person; she just runs with the pack, so she makes friends easily. Sinonym: go with the flow.

Every dog has his day: means : 'something good happens to everyone, eventually'. Ejem: I heard Thomas won the lottery! I guess every dog has his day.

The ugly stick: A magical piece of wood that makes people ugly. Ejm: Who hit that poor girl with the ugly stick??

Out of gas: Tired, exhausted, worn out. Ejem: ) I tried to finish the homework, but I was out of gas because I worked all night long.

Grass: Mariguana. Ejem: A lot of hippies love to smoke grass. Sinonym: Pot.

Knucklehead: A stupid person. Ejem: You knucklehead! How could you have changed the toilet paper for a newspaper?????????? 

Repo man: One who seizes property and returns it to its owners; usually, the term refers to someone who takes cars back to the car dealer, when the driver of the car has failed to pay for it in full. Ejm: Melissa was having trouble paying her bills, so it was no surprise to hear the repo man knocking on her door.

Bad egg: A troublemaker; someone who has a bad attitude and causes trouble. Ejm: Emily is a real bad egg -- she's always starting fights and causing trouble.

Not my cup of tea: Something not to your liking; something you don't like to do. Ejm: Some people love volleyball, but it's not my cup of tea. I prefer basquetball.

 Dirty old man: A person who has an unhealthy interest in sexual matters, usually referring to an older man who is interested in young girls. Ejm: That dirty old man in the park tried to touch me.

Eat my dust: A phrase meaning "I'm winning!", usually used to taunt someone who is losing a race or any kind of competition. EJm: Eat my dust, boy! Catch me if you can!

 

Get hitched: To get married. Ejm: You're thinking about getting hitched already? But you only met him last week!

 

 Eyes bigger than one's stomach: To believe that you can eat more than you really can; overestimating your appetite or hunger. Ejem:Every Thanksgiving it's the same thing -- my eyes are bigger than my stomach, and I can't finish all the food piled on my plate. 

 

Blow chunks: To vomit; to be sick. Ejm: I feel really sick -- I could blow chunks right here!
